Built for lightweight .50 caliber bolt action rifles (such as the Barrett 99, AI AX50, McMillan TAC-50, etc). The Alpha delivers rock solid performance in sound suppression. Threaded to match your existing barrel threads, the Alpha is easy to install. For .50 caliber bolt action rifles, and depending upon an individual shooter’s experience, the perceived recoil from suppressors may seem slightly more than with a muzzle brake. The actual visual of the flash signature from a suppressor at 50 yards and forward of the muzzle at a 45° angle is approximately the same as the striking of a BIC lighter.
Thread: 1-14, 7/8-14 Barrett, 7/8-24, M28x1.5, M25x1.5, M24x1
Color choices now available: Cerakote Black rated to 1800°, Cerakote Glacier Forge (Titanium) rated to 1800° or Cerakote FDE rated to 1200°
*We test our sound reduction using military standards, but sound reduction may vary based on elevation, location, and ambient temperature/weather.
Gary Curtiss –
I have a Victory model which I believe to be a predecessor to this and it is by far quieter than the awc unit I had before. I use it on a Cheytac 408 and its easily shoot-able without muffs
